What We're All About

Madison Tech Society is a student-run organization at JMU built around one idea: helping you become the most employable version of yourself. We're primarily IT and CS students, but open to anyone who wants to build a career in tech.

We're not here to lecture you about LeetCode — though we'll tell you to do it. We're here to build alongside one another, make genuine connections, and develop the mindset, network, and experience that most students figure out way too late.

What We Focus On

  • Team Projects: Semester-long builds that turn ideas into portfolio-ready work
  • Industry Connections: Guest conversations and networking with people actually in the field
  • Project Studios: Consistent time and space to build, collaborate, and get feedback
  • Peer Mentorship: Learn from students one or two steps ahead of you
  • Accountability: A community that pushes you to follow through

Our Story
